Assessment for ADHD and Austim in adulthood

Dr Jami is experienced in conducting diagnostic assessments for Neurodevelopmental conditions (such as Autism Spectrum Condition and ADHD) 

ADHD Assessments


ADHD assessments can be arranged in two different formats. Some people prefer a single extended online appointment (around 3-4 hours) followed by a one-hour feedback session the following week. Alternatively, the assessment can be split into two online sessions of about two hours each.

The assessment process explores:

  • The reasons for seeking an ADHD assessment at this point in time

  • Developmental background (we provide a document to help you prepare)

  • Early years and primary school experiences

  • Secondary school and higher education

  • Work history (if relevant)

  • ADHD traits observed during childhood

  • Current ADHD characteristics in adulthood (we provide a Conners questionnaire for you and someone who knows you well)

  • Mental health and psychological history, including risk factors and any substance use

  • Impact of ADHD traits on daily life (a preparation document is provided)

To ensure a comprehensive picture, we will discuss the option of input from a  parent/carer (or someone who knew you well as a child).

Autism Assessments

​

Autism assessments can be offered as a single in-person appointment lasting 3–4 hours, or split between two sessions of around two hours each.

Areas explored include:

  • What has prompted the assessment and why now

  • Social communication abilities 

  • Developmental history (we provide a preparation document)

  • Early years and primary school experiences

  • Secondary school and higher education

  • Work history

  • Mental health and psychological history, including risk factors and any substance use

  • Autism traits in adulthood (we provide a form for you and someone who knows you well)

  • Impact on day-to-day life (a preparation document is provided)

As with ADHD assessments, supporting information such as family accounts or school reports is extremely valuable. 

Assessment Fees

​

  • Screening appointment (1 hour): £160 (deducted from the total if you continue to a full assessment)

  • ADHD assessment: £1000 (online or in person)

  • Autism assessment: £1000 (online or in person)

  • Combined ADHD and autism assessment: £1950
